This week the 2 big games in our pen division were the 2 state cup matches.

NY Irish Rovers of the Long Island league vs our own Yonkers Ukrainians this game ended up 2-1 for the Rovers, but I know that the Ukrainians where missing their goalie and their captain Ivan in the defense due to injuries.  The Ukrainians did control the entire game but the Rovers scored on their only 2 shots to the net.

CA Tumi did win vs the Manhattan Celtic of the Cosmo league with a score of 3-0.  This was an exciting and physical match that CA Tumi should have won by a much higher score.  I counted at least 10 more opportunities that Tumi could have scored.  AC Tumi is going to the semifinal of the State cup on 5/19/19 and need to wait for the winner of Long Island league PDB Irish Rover and B&W Gottchee of the Cosmo league to play on the next state cup date of 4/28/19.

We also where able to have 2 championship matches yesterday between Tallawah vs San Onofre which saw Tallawah win 4-3.  This was a see-saw match, San Onofre scored the first 2 goals one with league highest scorer Manuel Gonzales and the other Carlos Renabal.  Tallawah came back with 4 unanswered goals 2 by Junior Elleston and 1 each Mr. Grant and Mr. Dawkins.  San Onofre scored in the closing minutes again with Manuel and had a couple of chances to tie the match, but Tallawah was able to hold on for the victory.

The other game saw O. Portuguese travel to Germania in Poughkeepsie.  Germania had the change to close the point gap with first place Tumi with a victory, since Tumi was playing in the state cup.  Germania did just that and beat Ossining Portuguese by the score of 3 -2. Austin, Guerra and Haddad scored for Germania and Helder and Vasquez scored for Ossining.   With these results the standing did not change and Germania and Tallawah were the only 2 teams to add 3 points to their standings.

Thank You
